Easy all-natural homemade disinfectant

I always like to “go green” whenever possible, but I’ve found a lot of the pre-made all-natural cleaners to be pricey so I like to make my own whenever possible. One really cleaver way I’ve found to make my own kitchen cleaner is to save up all of those orange or clementine (my kids will ask for those over candy!) peels in a glass mason jar filled with vinegar. Then you let it sit for a while (really, the longer the better). The orange peels won’t look very pretty, but the vinegar will keep them from molding and you will end up with citrus-infused vinegar. When you are ready to use it, just strain the orange peels and fill up a spray bottle with 1 to 1/2 parts vinegar ratio to 1 part water. For more cleaning power, you can add 10-20 drops of essential oil: lavender, peppermint and lemon all work – and smell – wonderfully in this cleaner. You can use your favorite brand of essential oil, but I have been using the Plant Therapy essential oils for years now and I have found them to be some of the highest quality oils available.
