When I was little, I always thought of my mom as SuperMom.
She worked hard, she loved us harder, and she was one of the most honest people I knew.
Now, with 3 little ones of my own, 2 of which are old enough to call me “SuperMom,” I realize how heavy that title – or should I say, cape? – can weigh. Some days I really feel like I have everything together, like maybe this parenting thing isn’t so bad after all, but other days … “super” anything is the last way I would describe my day or myself for that matter.
I wanted to start this blog in hopes of giving other moms a “leg up” so maybe they could unleash their own inner superpowers and quell some of the chaos going on in their own lives. I certainly do not have it all figured out, but I have been at this parenting thing for 8 1/2 years now so I hope that my experiences can give confidence to someone else just starting out with that squishy -but screaming – newborn, or help the mom whose kid just bubble-gummed their hair find a quick and easy solution to undo their toddler’s new do, or even provide some respite for the experienced mom who just needs someone else to tell her what the h*ll to make for dinner! 🙂
Every mom is a SuperMom. Yes, even you. And just maybe, even me.
